Jack Dan

 

 Speaker Jack Dan Dr. Jack R. Dan is the National General Manger for Government at Telstra, with responsibility across strategy, thought leadership, business and capability development for the government sector.

Working closely with the government sector, Jack is driving strategic conversations with customers to recognise and meet technology challenges head on and realise business and productivity benefits.

Jack is also leading Telstra’s premier research and thought leadership program, Connected Government Program, aimed at assisting government leaders in addressing the challenges they face in policy development, service delivery and implementation of government programs. As part of that, Jack has been working with preeminent international organisations such as OECD and developing new research into government productivity, policy development and service delivery and their impact on Australia.

With over 18 years’ experience in working with government organisations to drive business enabling strategies, Jack has a deep knowledge of the public sector. This background, as well his experience ranging from start-up companies in Europe to working with large multinational companies in Australia, gives Jack a unique perspective on the challenges of the public sector, and ultimately delivering for the community.

Jack holds a number of degrees, including a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Management, both from the Australian National University. Jack is also an active member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), Institute of Public Administration (IPAA) and Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA).
